To make the great saga seem short , suffice it to say that the two married as teenagers in Chattanooga, Tenn & had four childrens. Some disparity led to a bitter divorce some twenty years later.” But, that did not dampen their freindliness towards each other”- their daughter claimed.
Following the death of Ronald’s second wife he moved back to NY where he proposed Lena again.
A happy Ronald quipped, “You don’t think people are going to get married at this age. We’re just thankful we’ve lived this long and that we’re still here. We have a lot to be thankful for.”
The 85-year-olds will tie the knot for a second time on August 4
