Divorce and family mediation seminar offered

There is a professional development seminar on divorce and mediation issues planned for June 7.

Lone Star Corporate College is presenting the seminar as part of the Lone Star College Networking Lunch Series. It runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 7 at the Lone Star Community Building, 5000 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands.

The seminar is geared toward anyone interested in learning how mediation can save families’ time, money and relationships. Also, anyone who wants to know more about family mediation ranging from juvenile issues to elder care would benefit from the seminar.

Gerri Dorsett, owner of Resolve Today and a Texas Mediator Credentialing Associationmediator, will present the seminar with David Swallow, a TMCA-credentialed advanced mediator. Dorsett completed his training at the WorkLife Institute in Houston and has facilitated community projects such as a Q-and-A evening with politicians and citizens as well as the Harris County Public Health and Environmental Service and citizens in the Houston area.
