Growing Numbers Seek Divorce After Age 50

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A woman shared her story Wednesday about finding freedom after divorce.

Becky Smith owns a Westerville bed and breakfast, and spends her mornings on housework, though her afternoons are free. At age 53, she said that she is happily divorced, reported 10TV’s Andrea Cambern.

“I think the older you get, the more you know what you want and where your limits are,” Smith said.

After her first marriage ended, she bought a decaying Victorian house near Otterbein University, and renovated it into her business. She married again three years ago, but ended it in March.
