Jay Electronica In Center Of Kate Rothschild, Ben Goldsmith Divorce?

Gossipmongers have been buzzing about a strange union between an English socialite and rapper Jay Electronica. The Daily Mail reports that Kate Goldsmith, an heiress of the Rothschild banking family, and her husband Ben are getting a divorce because of Kate’s alleged affair with Jay Electronica. Apparently, Ben found explicit text messages and emails between Kate, a producer, and the “Exhibit C” rapper.

The paper cites a family friend as saying “She [Kate] is obsessed with this chap called Jay Electronica who is one of her clients. She is always on the phone to him and out with him until four or five in the morning most nights. Sometimes she even stays with him.”

Kate was recently seen ReTweeting Elec via her Twitter. On May 21, Elec tweeted a photo of Kate on a helicopter “@KateRoundtable, at the Watch The Helicopter tour.”

What this means for Jay Electronica’s career has yet to be seen. On (May 15) Jay-Z said that a new album by Elec is coming. Electronica has been signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation since 2010. “I love that, I want to support that sort of energy. I want people to be creative and not traditional, not just a single [at] this time, this time [and] this time,” Jay-Z told MTV News when he was in Philadelphia to announce his two-day Made in America music festival. “You know, he [Jay Elect] operates at his own time, but the album is really close.”
