Jennie Garth on divorce from Peter Facinelli: ‘I tried everything I could to save our marriage’
After 16 years together and 11 years of marriage with Peter Facinelli, calling it quits didn’t come easy for Jennie Garth.
In fact, the former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star told People magazine that she fought the decision the whole way through until it was evident she and Facinelli could keep up a charade no longer.
“That’s the fighter in me. I don’t think I’ll ever give up on him,” she told the magazine of coming to terms with their divorce. “I don’t think I’ll ever give up on him.”
Garth, who turns 40 next week, admitted that even as she and Facinelli, 38, tried to make their long-distance relationship work (Facinelli was often off shooting “Twilight” in Vancouver), they both knew something had changed.
“We both saw it unravel and it was painful,” she said. “I tried everything I could to save our marriage.
