Robert Hughes, Jr.: Why You Should Think Twice About Living Together Before Marriage

This study looks at how cohabitation before marriage can affect the outcome of the marriage. After taking a trail run with many test subjects in married couples, the analysis showed that cohabitation itself does not affect the divorce rate. Rather, the planning of marriage in the cohabitation stage can greatly determine the rate of divorce. The study also shows that men and women see the cohabitation stage in a much different way.
