The First Twitter Divorce? US Rapper Jay Electronica to blame?

Kate Rothschild is a music producer who set up Roundtable records after inheriting £18m from her banker father. She has been growing increasingly close to her client Jay Electronica, and her estranged husband Ben Goldsmith isn”t happy about it!

The couple split early this year, but were trying to patch things up. Last week, after a series of catty remarks and emotional outbursts posted all over Twitter, they announced their divorce.

Goldsmith, worth a cool £300m, is said to have discovered that Rothschild was having an affair with Jay Electronica, racing to their £20m home in London to confront her.

He was then arrested for ABH, after allegedly slapping his wife and throwing one of their children’s toys at her.

Jay Electronica, 35, was born Timothy Elpadaro Thedford and grew up in one of the poor areas of New Orleans. He became an underground success in 2007 after recording a nine-minute song called ‘Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge)’ that featured him rapping over a soundtrack taken from the film ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’. His first album is yet to be released.
