Third Time’s Not the Charm John Mellancamp was Looking for

After 18 years of marriage, rocker John Mellencamp and his wife are calling it quits. The couple have been separated for over a year and have told the courts that marriage is irretrievably broken and cannot be fixed.

Mellencamp is not new to divorce, as this is actually his third. It does look like the pair are ready to move and start fresh. Mellencamp, according to an article in the New York Times, has been reported to be dating Meg Ryan, while the soon to be ex-wife Elaine may have moved on as well.

According to the same article, “She was spotted at Golden Globes parties thrown by Paramount and the Weinstein Company with Israeli venture capitalist Vivi Nevo.” The article states that Elaine and Vivi are just good friends and there is no romantic interest there.

Who knows what’s going on, but one thing’s for sure is that Mellencamp needs an experienced lawyer on his side, for the third time.
