Bernie Madoff: Anticipating Divorce?

From riches to cages, Bernie Madoff, the notorious former stock broker and investor, may be presented with divorce papers sooner than later.

His wife, Ruth, has not visited him in over eight months at federal prison since their son’s suicide, determined to sever ties with him so she could reunite with her living son, Andrew, who after the ponzi scandal exposé, refuses to acknowledge Bernie Madoff as a father.

‘Ruth has not seen Bernie since Mark’s suicide and I think the remnants of the family will now pull together,’ said Diana Henriques, author of ‘Bernie Madoff: The Wizard of Lies’.

Bernie Madoff’s last meeting with his sons was when he revealed the truth in 2008 about how he was running a $65 billion Ponzi scheme for almost twenty years, a scheme Ruth denies having knowledge of to this day.

If a divorce ensues, it would the end of a 52 year marriage; can more than half a century’s marriage endure lies, imprisonment, and a child’s suicide? Only time will tell.
