How to Help Your Son after the Divorce

While explicit attention is usually placed on the daughters in a family post divorce, not much is usually given to the sons. It follows the old adage that men are less emotional than women therefore they don’t need the coddling usually afforded to women. However this common misconception has lead to neglect and startling new figures have emerged as reported by New York Times blogger Tara Parker-Pope.

Thus begs the question, how one adequately help their sons after the divorce? The Huffington Post’s Molly Monet, a mother herself, has outlined a few tips for dealing with this issue: Monet states: “I truly believe that with some creativity and dedication on our parts, all our sons of divorce can have equally positive futures ahead of them, and that researchers will soon have to do new studies to report our successes.”
