A perfect example of this is the divorce of billionaire Charles Brandes and his now ex-wife Linda Brandes. The couple split up in 2005 and Linda Brandes was due to receive the sum of $6 million a year.
This is one top of the penthouse in Manhattan, 2 other condos and a beach front home in California. At the time of the divorce, she also received a lump sum of $18.7 million dollars. For most people, this would be more than enough. Unfortunately, not Linda Brandes. She wants more.
In a recent article published in the Wall Street Journal, we learn that Linda has a slightly extravagant shopping habit.
The article tell us that “she said she needed more, citing her clothing budget ($70,000 a year), art spending and gambling bills.”
Her former ex-husband is reported to earn a monthly income of over $16 million.
