Sinead O’Connor Files for Divorce 18 Days After Getting Married

Singer Sinead O’Connor and her husband, Berry Herridge, have filed for divorce 18 days after their wedding.

O’Connor announced the divorce on a blog site. Previously she had mentioned that her new husband’s family was rather odd.

O’Connor wrote in her post that the marriage was thrown off course hours after it began. She blamed this on her husband’s odd family members.

The singer felt that the attitude of her husband’s family members had affected him so greatly that continuing the marriage would only cause him further suffering.

This is O’Connor’s third divorce in the last three decades.
