The Faults in No-Fault Divorce
Beverly Willett, vice chair of the Coalition for Divorce Reform, wrote her opinion on the problems with the no-fault divorce in a recent article on New York Post.
She believes that in no-fault divorces there is typically a spouse that is favored by the court and therefore receive the beneficial verdict. Also, because of the volume of cases that most judges must face, they are generally work though each case as quick as possible. The factory style proceedings deter any attempts to hold up the divorce process.
No-fault divorces were created as an less hostile alternative to traditional divorce court but that seems to not be the case anymore as evident in a YouTube video of a woman attacking a judge as a response to the verdict.
