The Recession Has Led to Fewer Divorces
We have all heard the old saying, “Stay together for the kids,” but in the current economic times its becoming common to hear “Stay together ’till the recession is over.” A recent study that was done, shows that putting off one’s divorce, could be prove to the choice many are making. Unfortunately this can lead to horrific results. People put off divorce and don’t realize that any assets that the obtain during this time may still be subject to equitable distribution in the event of a divorce.
The study, which an article was published on the PRNewsWire, shows that around 37 percent of couples have chosen to put off their divorce. The reason for putting a halt in the divorce process revolves was not just the financial burden.
