Tom and Katie Put Suri First

It’s been a long reported consequence of divorce: the kids are ignored, well perhaps we can now take an example from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

Bert Fields, the attorney who represented Tom Cruise in the divorce proceedings told People, “Tom was always most interested in his child. His concern was for Suri. He will have a meaningful relationship with Suri.”

Attorney Fields also addressed the rumors that the divorce proceedings were being orchestrated by members of Tom Cruise’s religion, “Somebody said the Scientologists were directing the negotiations, and that is absolute hogwash. There was no Scientologist present, I wasn’t on the phone with Scientologists. Scientologists played no part of role in the negotiations between the lawyers.”

When the story initially broke many wondered if Cruise was adamant that Suri join him in the church of scientology and whether or not Holmes was against that. It seems however that this is not the case and the couple will work together to ensure the best future for their child.
