Valerie Bertinelli went on The Talk television show and shared her advices for going thru difficult divorces. She had a rocky relationship with Eddie Van Halen and she turned it into an amicable one. She says that spouses need to realize they love their kids more than they hate their spouses. Since the child does not have a say in the divorce, the parents need to be especially sensitive to their needs and what they are saying. She even invited Eddie to her second wedding.
