Experts Say Long Commute Could Lead to Divorce Separation

There are a number of things that pave the path to separation or divorce, and new studies suggest “the time you’re spending on the roads and rails” can be added to the list. Tamara Mitchell from CBS says, “If you’ve got a case where both parents are working and one parent has to commute and travel more and the other stay at home parent has to work and take care of the children, that’s trouble.”

What can married couples do to stop the commute from killing their marriage? Experts explain, “not enough space can be just as stressful,” so working at home is not the answer. Divorce lawyer Alayne Katz even says, “Telecommuting is a greater problem than driving long distances.”

Experts have yet again presented a potential problem with no definite answers.
