Facebook could be key ingredient in divorce

It’s no doubt that social media has taken over our world, from our regular day interactions to the elections, Twitter, Facebook and the like now play major roles in our lives. However with that there is also the flip side.  According to a 2009 U.S. study Facebook now accounts for  1 in 9 divorces.

As social media becomes a bigger and more important tool for communication, these numbers are sure to keep rising. For a married couple Facebook could be the liaison that connects a husband or wife to an old flame or a distant friend. What seems like an innocent flirt could turn into something more serious.
